FAQs
Brand & Product
OFHUNGER is a design-led wearable technology brand founded in 2020. We make wearable tech that looks like jewelry. Our current product is a pair of gemstone audio earrings — open-ear earphones designed to be part of your look, not hidden inside your ear. Think of it as: jewelry you can listen to.
It means the product starts as a visible style object and also plays personal audio. Instead of hiding earbuds inside your ears, OFHUNGER makes audio part of your outfit — with a gemstone-earring form and open-ear sound for everyday moments.
No. The lead idea is wearable tech as an everyday accessory. AI or app features are enhancements, not the main selling point.
Who It's For
People who care about how wearable technology looks: style-conscious early adopters, open-ear audio users, anyone searching for jewelry-style earbuds, and gift buyers looking for something more distinctive than ordinary earbuds. Best for daily light listening.
OFHUNGER may not be ideal if you mainly want strong noise blocking, sport/waterproof earbuds, audiophile-level sound, or a nearly invisible device. Fit can also vary by ear shape — if you have very small ears, the product may not sit securely. We recommend checking our fit guide before purchase.
Fit & Wearing
About 15¨C20g per earphone, depending on the design. They use a gravity-balanced wearing method — the weight is distributed across the ear, so it shouldn't feel heavy.
Sound, Calls & Open-Ear Limits
They use a 14.2mm dynamic driver with Hi-Fi grade diaphragm, tuned in partnership with a professional acoustics lab. Expect clear, full-bodied open-ear audio — great for music, podcasts, and calls in everyday environments. The sound signature features clear highs, transparent mids, and deep lows.
In-ear earbuds seal the ear canal, which naturally makes them feel louder and more isolated. OFHUNGER is open-ear, so perceived volume depends more on your environment. Indoors, 60-70% volume is typically enough. Outdoors, ambient noise can compete with the audio — that's the nature of open-ear design.
At normal listening volume (60-70%), leakage is minimal. At higher volumes (80-100%), some sound may be audible to people nearby, especially in quiet rooms. This is a characteristic of all open-ear audio products.
Yes, they support everyday calls. Call clarity depends on your environment — quiet settings work best. In noisy or windy environments, call quality may be reduced. For iPhone users: you can enable Voice Isolation mode in Control Center during calls for clearer sound.
A few things to try:
1. Avoid taking calls in noisy environments — as an open-ear product, ambient noise can interfere with the microphone.
2. Make sure your earphones have enough battery and a stable Bluetooth connection. Try disconnecting and reconnecting.
3. iPhone users: check Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Call Audio Routing > set to Bluetooth. You can also enable Voice Isolation during calls.
4. Check that your phone's microphone permissions are enabled for the calling app.
If the issue persists after these steps, contact us and we'll arrange a free inspection.
No. OFHUNGER uses an open-ear design that lets you stay aware of your surroundings. This is intentional — it's not meant to block outside noise like ANC earbuds.
All Bluetooth audio has slight latency. OFHUNGER uses Bluetooth 5.3/5.4, which keeps delay to about 70ms — barely noticeable for music and calls. Only wired connections can achieve zero delay.
Battery & Charging
Earphones: about 10-12 hours on a full charge. Charging case: provides an additional 20 hours of earphone battery life. Quick charge: 10 minutes of charging gives about 1 hour of use. Full earphone charge: about 1.5 hours in the case. Case charging: about 1 hour via USB-C.
Bluetooth & Connectivity
Try these steps in order:
1. Make sure the earphones have enough charge (open the case — white light on the case means it has power).
2. Check whether they're still connected to a previous device. Disconnect that device first.
3. Put the earphones back in the case, close the lid, turn off your phone's Bluetooth, wait 2-3 minutes, then reopen Bluetooth and the case to search again.
4. If none of the above works, try a factory reset (press and hold the case button for 10 seconds) and pair again.
If the issue continues, contact us for a free inspection.
About 10-15 meters in a normal indoor environment with walls or partitions.
As long as the earphones haven't switched to a new device, they should reconnect automatically when back in range. If auto-reconnect stops working: check battery level, make sure no nearby device has grabbed the connection, and try re-pairing. If the issue persists after these checks, the earphones may need inspection — contact us.
Materials, Care & Maintenance
Style & Variants
The limited edition features a special color (e.g., cyber pink) with a more complex plating process — only about 1 in 10 units passes quality control, making it rarer and more costly to produce. The electronic components and audio performance are the same as the standard version.
The jewelry-grade plating process can create subtle light reflections that may appear as unevenness — this is a visual effect of the plating, not an actual surface defect. If you're not satisfied, we can hand-select a unit with less visible plating variation and send you a video for approval before shipping. The black matte finish does not have this characteristic.
Price & Value
You're not just paying for audio hardware. OFHUNGER combines jewelry-grade materials and plating, gemstone-inspired design, open-ear audio technology, a charging case, and a giftable presentation. It occupies a different category from standard earbuds — it's a wearable accessory that also delivers quality open-ear sound.
Gifting
Yes — it's a distinctive, beautifully packaged object that combines style and function. The main thing to consider is ear fit, since everyone's ears are different. If the recipient finds the fit isn't right, they can return within 7 days in original condition.

Troubleshooting
Try these steps:
1. Check that both earphones have enough battery (open the case — white light means power is available; pink flashing or no light means low battery).
2. Disconnect Bluetooth and reconnect.
3. Try connecting to a different phone to rule out a device-specific issue.
If the problem persists, contact us. Within the first 7 days: we'll replace the unit. Day 8 through 12 months: free repair under warranty.
1. Remove both earphones and try closing the empty case. If it closes fine, one earphone may be slightly misaligned — check for any visible bending.
2. If the case still won't close when empty, it may have been impacted. Contact us with a photo and we'll arrange an inspection.
1. Check if the case has power (white light on the outside = charged).
2. When you open the case, one earphone flashing pink/red is normal — it's searching for a Bluetooth connection.
3. Try: delete "OF HUNGER" from your phone's Bluetooth list, put earphones back in the case, close it, turn off Bluetooth, wait 2-3 minutes, then re-pair.
4. If the issue continues, send us a short video of the lights and we'll diagnose the problem.
1. Try playing different songs — some tracks with very high frequencies can cause this with open-ear speakers.
2. Ask someone nearby to listen and confirm.
3. If the issue happens with all audio, contact us and we'll arrange a free inspection. If a hardware defect is found, we'll replace the unit at no charge.
1. First test without the earphones connected — if the issue persists, it may be a phone microphone or app issue.
2. If it only happens with earphones connected, check your phone's microphone permissions for the app.
3. For Android: Settings > Apps > [App name] > Permissions > Microphone (enable).
4. For iPhone: Settings > Privacy > Microphone > [App name] (enable).
5. If still unresolved, contact us for a free inspection.
Volume Settings
Your phone may have a default volume safety limit. Here's how to adjust:
- iPhone: Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Headphone Safety > turn OFF "Reduce Loud Sounds."
- Android: Settings > Developer Options > enable "Bluetooth Absolute Volume."
- HarmonyOS (Huawei): Settings > Bluetooth > tap the gear icon next to OF HUNGER > enable "Sync Bluetooth device volume with phone."
Also note: open-ear earphones may feel quieter outdoors because ambient sound mixes with the audio. This is by design—it's not a defect.
iPhone: Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Headphone Safety > turn ON "Reduce Loud Sounds" and set your preferred limit.
